LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Local enthusiasts stepped out Saturday for what’s being called the first Gun Appreciation Day.
Organizers asked gun owners to head to gun stores and shooting ranges to protest stricter gun control policies and to support their Second Amendment rights.
A crowd showed up at LAX Firing Range in Inglewood, which was holding an ammunition sale in the parking lot.
The event follows President Obama’s proposal for stricter background checks, a ban on assault weapons and 10-round limit on ammunition magazines.
