LOS ANGELES(CBSLA.com) – Eblouissante, half-sister to former horse-of-the-year Zenyatta, won her second race at Thursday’s Mojave River Purse at Santa Anita, making it two for two in her short racing career.
“She’s such a big filly,” said Nakatani. “They ran away from her a little, so I just dropped her steady inside. The plan was to see how she handled the dirt today and she handled it better than we thought she would. Obviously, it didn’t bother her. What more can you say, except that I’m ecstatic she’s back and in John’s care. She’s tremendous.”
The four-year-old filly won her first race on November 16th at Hollywood Park.
The half-sister Zenyatta is the only female horse to ever win the $5-million Breeders Cup Classic
