SAN DIEGO (AP) – Johnny Dee scored 15 points and Chris Anderson added 14 to lead San Diego to a 78-70 victory against Loyola Marymount on Wednesday night.
John Sinis had 12 points and Cameron Miles 11 for the Toreros (11-8, 4-0 West Coast).
Anthony Ireland scored 19 points and Ashley Hamilton added 15 points and eight rebounds for the Lions (8-10, 1-4), who led 30-25 before going almost 10 minutes without scoring. Loyola Marymount’s last score of the first half was on Bruce English’s jumper with 6:10 remaining before intermission, and it remained stuck on 30 points until 3:36 elapsed in the second half.
In the meantime, San Diego scored 18 straight points to take a 40-33 lead. The Lions got no closer than eight the rest of the way.
Sinis made four 3-pointers. Anderson had four steals.
