'Diff'rent Strokes' Actor Conrad Bain Dead At 89

LOS ANGELES (AP/CBSLA.com) — Conrad Bain, star of television's "Diff'rent Strokes", has died at the age of 89, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Bain's family says the actor died Monday night in his hometown of Livermore, Calif., from natural causes.

Bain's television credits include  father figure Phillip Drummond on "Diff'rent Strokes" and Dr. Arthur Harmon on "Maude".

He also starred in several Broadway plays and films throughout his career.

Bain is survived by his wife and four children.
