HOUSTON (CBSLA.com) Steve Nash got his 10,000^th assist Tuesday night against the Houston Rockets, becoming the 5th NBA player to ever to reach the milestone.

Nash got his 10,000^th assist during the second quarter, right before halftime off a pick-and-roll with Antawn Jamison.

The 38-year-old becomes the 5^th person to reach the milestone, joining John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson and Laker-great Magic Johnson.

Nash, who is on his first year with the Lakers, is averaging 8.8 assists per game this season.
