IDYLLWILD (CBSLA.com) — A minor earthquake rattled the Riverside County Mountains and Coachella Valley overnight Saturday.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the magnitude-3.3 quake struck about 1:59 a.m. and was centered about 4 miles north of Anza and 16 miles southeast of Valle Vista.
The quake’s center of movement was an estimated 2.4 miles beneath the earth’s surface, according to scientists who reviewed the automated detection data.
The quake was felt in La Mesa, Lompoc, Oceanside, Palm Desert and San Diego, according to self-reported data on the USGS website.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
