Future USC QB Max Browne Shines At Army All-American Bowl

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (CBSLA.com/MaxPreps) Lane Kiffin may have a freshman to start at QB in the fall after Max Wittek's horrible performance at the Sun Bowl, completing 14 passes in 37 attempts in losing efforts to Georgia Tech.

That freshman may be the Gatorade football player of the year, Max Browne, who threw the only touchdown for the West in the prestigious US Army All-American game.

Browne, who committed to USC on April 4, led Skyline high school to a 14-0 season and a Class 4A state championship.

In the final game of his high school career, Browne set the record on a 13-yard completion to Cedric Cooper in the first quarter of the Division 4A championship game against Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma) at the Tacoma Dome.

Browne is expected to enroll early as Matt Barkley did in 2009.
