Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 4)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We've got another cold start on this Friday morning. While the wind advisories have expired we are still looking at 40s and 30s for our inland cities.

Once the sun comes up...and we get some daytime heating...it should be a decent day with temperatures hovering near or just slightly above seasonal averages.

By Saturday, the ridging that kept us warm during the day will break down. An area of low pressure is going to drive down into the Southwest.

As the cold front drags through the area...we are not expecting much in the way of rainfall. There is a slight chance for some scattered showers on Sunday. Rainfall totals will range between .25" and .50" along the Central Coast north of Santa Barbara, however her in the Los Angeles area we will be lucky to get .10".

We will dry out on Monday...and even with another trough moving into the west...the persistent forecast now looks pretty dry.

Coast-upper 60s
Basin-upper 60s
Valleys-low 70s
Mountains-upper 40s
Deserts-mid 50s
