BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of robbing three gas stations in Burbank.

Investigators believe the suspect has committed other robberies, in which he was armed, in Los Angeles and Orange County, Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.

The suspect was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches, and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds, Ryburn said.

Police urged anyone with information to contact the Burbank Police Department at (818) 238-3010. They strongly urged people to avoid contacting or attempting to apprehend the suspect.

Officials advised business owners to make sure their surveillance cameras are in working order, maintain good lighting on the interior and exterior of businesses and keep a clear view of their store and the cashier area.
