BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — A female passenger was seriously injured Monday evening when the car she was riding in collided with a train.
The collision between the vehicle and the Metro Gold Line train occurred about 9:30 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash happened at 1311 E. 1st Street in Boyle Heights.
No word on the driver’s condition.
The woman was taken to an area hospital.
There were 20 passengers on the train at the time of the crash. None of them were injured.
