BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Three people were injured, one moderately, in an accident on a Knott’s Berry Farm ride Sunday.
Sources say a wheel came off the Stagecoach ride during a turn injuring three people.
Two of the injuries were described as minor but one, to an adult male, was called a “moderate trauma.”
The accident happened at approximately 1:25 p.m.
A spokesperson for Knott’s wrote in a statement, “…the left rear wheel detached from one of Knott’s Berry Farm’s stagecoaches with 14 passengers on board, causing the coach to tip to its side. Three guests were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. The ride will be closed until further notice. Guest safety is Knott’s number one priority.”
