'Terminator 3' Star Nick Stahl: Arrest For Lewd Acts At Adult Store 'A Misunderstanding'

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Actor Nick Stahl was free on his own recognizance Friday after undercover Los Angeles police officers arrested him for allegedly committing a lewd act in a Hollywood adult store.

The vice officers were conducting a routine sweep of the store around 8 p.m. and found the "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" actor alone in a private booth watching a video, multiple celebrity websites reported.

The 33-year-old was released a few hours after being booked on suspicion of misdemeanor lewd conduct charges.

Stahl told a video crew outside the LAPD's Hollywood Station his arrest was "a misunderstanding."

The actor made headlines a few months ago after his wife, Rose Murphy Stahl, reported him missing on May 14, the LAPD said.

According to TMZ, Rose had filed court papers in February, expressing concerns that the actor was possibly using drugs. He was allegedly seen along the Skid Row section of downtown Los Angeles.

A few days after the missing person report, Stahl sent emails to friends reportedly apologizing for worrying them and said he planned to get help in a rehabilitation facility.

The same Hollywood vice officers arrested actor Fred Willard in July after the 78-year-old was caught allegedly watching an adult movie with his pants down, TMZ reported.
