Female Suspect Sought Following Bank Robbery In Burbank

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Friday continued to search for a woman suspected of robbing a bank in Burbank.

A news release issued by the Burbank Police Department says the robbery occurred about 9:15 a.m. Friday at an unidentified bank branch in the 3800 block of Riverside Drive.

Investigators were told upon arriving on scene that an African American woman, between the age of 45 and 48, had entered the bank and demanded money from one of the tellers.

The suspect, described as medium build, is 5-feet-6-inches tall. According to police, she fled westbound from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone, who may have witnessed the robbery, is asked to call detectives at (818) 238-2010.
