Car Crashes Into Ambulance On WB Hwy 60 Injuring 3

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Three people, including a California Highway Patrol officer, were injured Monday morning during two related traffic accidents on westbound Highway 60.

Riverside County firefighters responded to a traffic collision at Perris Blvd. off-ramp just before 7:30 a.m.

While authorities were attending to the victim of the first collision, a second car, driven by 20-year-old Shin Yuna, crashed into emergency vehicles.

According to the CHP, Yuna lost control of her 2009 Toyota sedan.

"During the impacts, the ambulance struck an officer and a bystander who were standing next to it," Officer Steve Carapia said.

The incident is under investigation.
