A Near Miss? 60-Something Women Urged To Apply For Senior Beauty Pageant

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — You're never too old to wear a crown or put on a sash.

The organizers of a Ms. Senior California Pageant are looking for 60-something aged women in the Inland Empire area to compete in a second prelim contest scheduled for March 16, 2013.

The two top contestants then advance to the state-level pageant. There, all the finalists will work the runway for the title of  Ms. Senior California in August.

Ms. Senior California  is open to all women "who have reached the 'age of elegance' --- 60 and up."

Pageant officials said the contestants should be role models for their peers and younger generations.

Interested parties should call Charlene Tackaberry, the pageant's Inland Valley director, at (951) 687-2464 or Charlene@griffinpropertymanagement.com. All applications must be submitted and approved by Feb. 23.
