LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A 25-year-old man has been listed in stable condition following an officer-involved shooting in Long Beach.

Long Beach police said in a department statement that officers were dispatched to Pine Avenue and 8th Street about 12:13 a.m. Sunday for what turned out to be a domestic violence incident.

Upon arriving on scene, police were told the suspect had fled.

About 30 minutes later, they located the suspect's vehicle at Long Beach Boulevard and 6th Street.

"As officers drove up to the vehicle two male black subjects exited and started running in opposite directions," the statement said.

Minor was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition. The statement said that police did recover a handgun at the scene.

The second suspect was arrested near Pine Avenue and 8th Street.
