SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) — A light quake has been reported near Ocotillo Wells, an unincorporated area in San Diego County.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.0 struck at 1:37 p.m. Saturday.
The quake hit 12 miles southwest from Ocotillo Wells and 19 miles south-southwest from Borrego Springs.
According to responses posted on the USGS website, the quake was felt in Aliso Viejo, Carlsbad, El Cajon, Escondido and, as far as, Irvine.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
No further information was immediately available.
