IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are searching Friday for an inmate who reportedly escaped from James A. Musick Jail.
Jail staff discovered Marvin Manzo, 35, was unaccounted for during a body count around 9 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities could not find Manzo after a thorough search of the area.
The inmate, who has a non-violent criminal history of narcotics and theft violations, is not considered to be a threat to the public, officials said.
Manzo is a Hispanic male, 5-foot 3-inches tall weighing 135 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing white jail pants and a jail sweatshirt.
Anyone with information regarding Manzo’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
