LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — More than 2 million people will reportedly pass through Los Angeles International Airport during the holiday travel season, which starts Friday.
Airport officials said the predicted 2.24 million passengers is a 5.4 increase compared to the same 13-day period last year.
The busiest days of travel are expected to be Friday through Sunday, Dec. 28, and Jan. 2.
Passengers are encouraged to arrive to the airport at least two hours before they’re scheduled to depart to avoid congestion.
Meantime, a blizzard moving across the Midwest may cause flight delays in and out of LAX.
