STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Light showers are falling this morning as a cold front moves through the area...the totals on this wave were fairly light from a trace of rain to .10".

As the system exits the area we should start clearing out, however there will be some gusty winds generated behind the front. Wind warnings have already been issued for the mountain areas of LA, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties. They start up this afternoon and go through tomorrow.

There are also Winter Weather Advisories for the mountains of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The snow level is staying above 4500' however the winds are kicking up and there is heavy snow above 6000'. That advisory expires at 10 p.m. tonight.

After today the rest of the week should be fairly mellow. Temps near or slightly below average...but we should see some sunshine.

Over the weekend a wave of energy moves through...but it shouldn't translate into any major rainfall...and then there is another round of rain slated for Christmas Eve.
