LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A gunman remained at large Sunday following a deadly drive-by shooting in South Los Angeles.
Los Angeles police Sgt. Donnie Ellison says the shooting occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday at 71st Street and Brynhurst Avenue in Hyde Park.
“A man is standing out front, a car drives up, they exchange words and he’s shot multiple times,” Ellison said.
The victim, identified as a man in his early 30s, was struck several times. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
KNX 1070 reports that witnesses described the suspect vehicle as brown or gold in color. The make or model of the vehicle was not known.
A description of the shooter was unavailable.
