RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a young man in Riverside.
Riverside police Sgt. David Amador said in a news release that the 19-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital by a private party where he was pronounced dead.
According to Amador, the shooting occurred in front of an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Panorama Road Friday evening.
Just before shots were fired, authorities say they received several 911 calls of a verbal altercation involving several young men.
No arrests have been made.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
