THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA.com) — A Thousand Oaks business owner was behind bars Friday on suspicion of molesting several boys.

Gary Haw, 49, was arrested Thursday for allegedly sexually assaulting multiple teenage boys over a 12-year period.

Investigators said that from August 2000 to September 2012, Haw, a co-owner of Tan LA Tanning Salon on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, employed, befriended, and lured several teenaged boys between the ages of 12 to 19 years old.

Haw allegedly would allow victims to tan after hours, and while tanning, Haw would enter the room and molest them. Investigators believe that Haw paid the boys in cash, often giving them bonuses of fifty and one hundred dollars.

Haw, a convicted felon, also owns several high performance vehicles that he allowed the boys to access.

Investigators believe that Haw targeted families in turmoil, as well as single-parent families with teenage boys. He befriended the mothers of the boys, gaining their trust and confidence, then sexually assaulted the victims, according to police.

Haw was arrested and booked at the Ventura County East County Jail Facility without incident.

His bail was set at $500,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 17.
