LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 51-year-old woman was found shot to death on a street in LA’s Rampart division, according to authorities.

The victim, Lorri Ann Anderson, had multiple gunshot wounds, said officials.

The shooting occurred about 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11 at Coronado and Eighth Streets.

The victim was treated at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and later taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police that a suspect approached Anderson after exiting a dark-colored sedan. They said he began shooting the woman for no apparent reason. The suspect got back into his vehicle and fled.

Investigators have not yet determined a motive for the attack.
