BALDWIN HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A man is holding his ex-girlfriend and her two children hostage at a home in Baldwin Hills Tuesday night.

Police responded to a domestic dispute between the former couple around 7 p.m. on the 7100 block of Don Ricardo Drive.

The armed suspect reportedly came over to the woman’s residence and assaulted her.

He then held the victim and her kids, aged 3 and 6, against their will.

Police are concerned about the boyfriend’s irrational behavior.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s SWAT team and bomb squad are on the scene.

A hostage negotiator is talking with the suspect.
