VERNON (CBSLA.com) — A two-alarm blaze that engulfed several businesses in Vernon forced evacuations Sunday evening.
The fire was reported just after 7:30 p.m. in a structure at East 49th Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to a dispatcher with the Downey Fire Department.
A partial roof collapse was reported to the rear of the edifice during the blaze, which had not been knocked down as of 9:45 p.m., the dispatcher said.
No injuries were reported.
