POMONA (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally shot in Pomona Sunday, the Coroner’s Office reported.

A representative from the Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the 1300 block of North Park Street at 4:50 a.m., said Coroner’s Lt. Cheryl MacWillie.

According to a source at the scene, the shooting victim was approached by an armed suspect while leaving a party with some friends.

Pomona police are not disclosing details about the shooting.
