NEW ORLEANS (CBSLA.com) – Kobe Bryant will need 13 points to become the fifth player in NBA history to reach the 30,000 milestone Wednesday night against the soon-to-be- New Orleans Pelicans.

Bryant, who will be the youngest to reach the milestone, will join Wilt Chamberlain, Karl Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Michael Jordan as NBA’s most decorative scorers.

Bryant scored 39 points Tuesday night in loss to the Houston Rockets, 107-105.

Bryant is leading the league in scoring with 27.9 points per game.
