Man, 40, Fatally Stabbed During Fight With Ex's New Partner

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Authorities say a 40-year-old man was stabbed to death in a fight with his 27-year-old ex's new partner.

The fight occurred about 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of West 91st Street.

According to Deputy Don Walker of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau, the unidentified victim was declared dead after being transported to the hospital.

The victim was the father of his ex's two children. The couple recently separated.

The victim reportedly showed up unannounced and attacked his ex's new partner -- a 36-year-old man -- with a knife.

The new boyfriend was able to arm himself with another knife, according to a police statement.

Both men were cut while they fought.

The new boyfriend was able to drive himself to the hospital.

Police said both weapons were recovered at the scene.
