Allegedly Drunk Motorist Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter In Burbank Crash
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities arrested an allegedly drunk driver Sunday for causing a fatal accident in Burbank early Sunday morning.
The driver, in a dark-colored sports utility vehicle, slammed into a white Lexus sedan at a Burbank traffic signal near the Disney Studios, in front of Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center, said officials.
The victim — who was driving the Lexus — was identified as 33-year-old Roman Ramos Rubio of Burbank.
The crash was reported just before 5:40 a.m., said officials.
Neither driver had a passenger.
The collision also caused damage to a fire hydrant, said authorities.
The driver of the dark-colored SUV, a 29-year-old Burbank man, was not injured.
