Gordon Ramsay's The Fat Cow Opens At The Grove

The Grove is a shopping and sightseeing staple for both locals and tourists alike. It is also a dining destination with many popular restaurants and the Original Farmers Market next door. The newest addition to The Grove's dining list, The Fat Cow, is brought to us by world-renowned celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay. Chef Ramsay is known not only for his many restaurants all over the world, but also for his hit television shows "Kitchen Nightmares," "Hell's Kitchen," "Masterchef" and "Hotel Hell."

Chef Ramsay's vision for The Fat Cow, is a casual dining, friendly neighborhood place that is inviting, warm and accessible. The restaurant has rustic features such as communal dining tables, vintage hardware, flea market items, unpolished metal and reclaimed wood. In the back center of the room shines a very bright sign for "FAT COW" against the brick wall. You can choose to dine inside or outside right next to the Grove's dancing fountain and enjoy your meal al fresco.

The menu focuses on comfort food using seasonal ingredients and fresh produce from the Farmer's Market next door as well as local farms and purveyors. Some must-try dishes are the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Pepper Crusted Wood Roasted Long Rib with minted fingerling potatoes and Shepards Pie with tender lamb and topped with mashed potatoes. They also serve delicious pizzas made in their wood-burning oven, with a thin crust and loaded with top quality meats, cheeses and vegetables. The Spicy Sausage, Burrata, Fennel Pizza is a favorite on the menu. For those looking for lighter fare, the Skinny Cow Chopped Salad is a great choice, made with Tuscan kale, cabbage, carrots, radish and pumpkin seeds.

Thirsty? Try ordering the English Garden or the Hell's Kitchen Antioxidant. The Fat Cow's cocktails are all made with fresh juices and ingredients. The bar also has great selection of wines and draft and craft beers from local California breweries if you are not in the mood for a cocktail.

Save room for dessert because The Fat Cow features their "Moo Bar", a nostalgic ice cream counter perfect for the Los Angeles endless summer weather we have year round. At Moo Bar, you can order soft-serve ice cream and ice cream sandwiches made with fresh house-baked cookies, hand-crafted artisan frozen yogurt and made-to-order milkshakes.

The Fat Cow is open for lunch and dinner service daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For those that want to grab a bite to eat after watching the movies, just walk next door to the restaurant. They are open until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
