Starting on Monday, White, a member of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association's board and a well-known animal lover, is partnering with the SPCA to offer a dinner date with a winning bidder and three of their closest friends.

SPCA-LA President Madeline Bernstein said Betty will pick one of her favorite local restaurants for the outing to celebrate the animal rights organization's 135th anniversary.

"Obviously there are a huge number of Betty White fans out there, and hopefully, people will be willing to bid significantly to be able to bring themselves and three of their guests to dinner with her," Bernstein said.

The dinner date will be scheduled on "a day mutually agreed upon by all parties", with proceeds going to benefit the SPCA.

The auction will be accepting bids on the SPCA's eBay page through Dec. 10.
