LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) – Chauncey Billups will make his season debut Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves after sitting out nine months with a achilles tendon injury.
2004 Finals MVP Billups only played in 20 games last season before he tore his Achilles tendon on February 6th against Orlando.
Billups will start in place of Willie Green as the shooting guard for the Clippers.
“We are all excited to have Chauncey back,” Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro said. “I know how hard he has worked to get to this point and we are looking forward to incorporating him into the lineup.”
Clippers are in first place of the Pacific division at 8-6, but they’ve lost their last four games.
