Participate In LA's First Jingle Bell Run/Walk For Arthritis On Dec. 9

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The nation's largest holiday run/walk event is just around the corner!

Rachel Free and Kristin Burke visited the KCAL9 studios Monday to talk about LA's first Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis.

The Arthritis Foundation expects thousands to take part in the event, which will be held Dec. 9 in the city of Glendale.

The course starts at 8 a.m. in front of The Alex Theatre at 216 North Brand Blvd. and will pass through The Americana at Brand, where participants and families can enjoy the holiday décor and festivities. Dr. Jim Sears from CBS' "The Doctors" will emcee the event.

Arthritis affects 50 million Americans (roughly one out of five adults) and approximately 300,000 children. In Los Angeles County, 1.2 million adults and 42,000 children suffer from arthritis.
