CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating a fatal helicopter crash that killed one person Sunday night.
The accident happened just after 11 p.m. when a Robinson helicopter clipped a refueling station at Corona Municipal Airport and caught fire, Federal Aviation Administration officials said.
A nearby hangar was also damaged as a result of the accident.
The pilot was the only person on board the helicopter, which was registered to a Las Vegas law firm.
The accident is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board, the FAA and the Riverside County Coroner.
