LATEST ON PERRIS TORTURE CASE: Couple Faces 94 Years In Prison | Complete Coverage

LOS ANGELES ( — Authorities say a man was shot in the face Sunday night while driving on the 110 (Harbor) Freeway in South Los Angeles.

Sgt. Rudy Alaniz of the Los Angeles Police Department said several rounds were fired at the victim.

“One of the rounds struck the victim in the cheek and came out through the back of that same right cheek,” he said.

The shooting occurred about 9 p.m.

The victim’s age and name were withheld.

Alaniz said the man was conscious and talking when police arrived. He was able to tell police that he did not recognize the shooter or anyone in the suspect’s vehicle.
