LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities rescued a hiker in Griffith Park Sunday, a city fire official announced.
The hiker, who was unsure of his location, believed that he had broken his leg, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Officials said fog and a low-cloud ceiling made it impossible to find and rescue the man by air.
A ground crew mounted a search and took the injured man to a hospital by ambulance.
The hiker reported being injured just before 6 p.m.
