LL Cool J has another album on deck, a fourteenth set he’s calling Authentic Hip-Hop.
“I’m doing music right now,” he told Craig Ferguson on CBS’s The Late Show. “I’m working on a new album. I’m going to put one out in February.”
Earlier this month, he showcased his single, “Ratchet,” via Myspace and announced the lyric video on Twitter. He followed up with the song “Take It,” which features R&B singer Joe. He also collaborates with Monica for “Closer.”
The veteran rapper, who blasted rap to the masses with his 1985 debut Radio, connects with longtime collaborators the Trackmasters for Authentic Hip-Hop sound.
Authentic Hip-Hop will be available for iTunes pre-order on Nov. 27 and released in stores February 12.
Aside from his new music, the NCIS: Los Angeles star will be coming back to co-host the “Grammy Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night,” live on CBS on December 5 at 10 pm ET from Nashville, TN.
