ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A three-day canned food to benefit an Orange County food bank is expected to conclude Sunday at Angel Stadium.
Baseball fans who step up to the plate with canned food donations will get an opportunity to hit, pitch and catch baseballs during the12th annual Thanksgiving Holiday Canned Food Drive.
The drive is expected to last until 4 p.m.
A news release issued by the Angels says fans who donate three cans of food or $2 will get one swing against a pitching machine. A donation of two canned food items or $1 will allow fans to throw pitches in the bullpen.
For a $10 donation, participants will get the chance to tour the Angels clubhouse.
All proceeds will benefit the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. For more information, visit the Second Harvest Food Bank online.
