VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Police have confirmed to KCAL9 that shots were fired during an attempted home invasion robbery in Van Nuys Thursday evening.
The invasion occurred in the 6700 block of Noble.
According to the LAPD, a man was walking his dog when he was approached by two men in ski masks.
He said the suspects — described as black or Latino — were wielding baseball bats.
The victim said the men tried to get him to enter his home when he yelled to his wife to “get his gun.”
The wife was able to give her husband the gun where he reportedly fired several shots at the suspect.
It is unknown if they were hit.
Police said the men fled in a dark colored Honda Accord.
