LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Dodgers’ General Manager Ned Colletti announced Tuesday eight coaches will return for the 2013 season along with three new additions.
“All of these men have a passion for teaching and coaching,” Colletti said in a statement. “They provide a vast array of experience and are well-respected with a proven track record.”
Don Mattingly will enter his third consecutive season as the Dodgers’ manager, finishing the 2012 season with an 86-76 record.
Bullpen coach Chuch Crim, hitting coach Mark McGwire and assistant hitting coach John Valentin are joining the blue crew for their first season.
Pitching coach Rick Honeycutt will begin his eighth consecutive season, “making him the longest tenured full-time coach on the Dodgers’ staff.”
