TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 31-year-old man was killed Saturday evening following a head-on crash in Torrance.

Officials reported that an unidentified 53-year-old man was heading west on Artesia Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle.

The collision occurred around 11:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of Artesia Boulevard.

Torrance Police Lt. Stephen D’anjou said the 53-year-old man’s car went over the center divided and collided with the car driven by the 31-year-old.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

D’anjou said the other driver was transported to a hospital where he is listed in good condition.
