LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lakers forward Devin Ebanks was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Ebanks, 23, was arrested in Hollywood at 2:49 a.m. after being pulled over by the California Highway Patrol for a traffic violation, Los Angeles police said.
Details surrounding his arrest were not released.
Ebanks posted $5,000 bail and was released from police custody just before 6:45 a.m., officials said.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.
In July, Banks signed a one-year, $1.4 million deal with the Lakers.
Earlier Friday, the Lakers organization fired head coach Mike Brown after a disappointing 1-4 start to the 2012 season.
The Lakers play the Golden States Warriors at the STAPLES Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
