SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Three male teens are in serious condition Friday evening after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Santa Ana.
Officials said the three teens — aged 15, 16 and 18, were all carrying unopened bottles of beer while walking across Fifth Street at North Susan Street.
Authorities say the victims were hit by a two-door Honda just before 5 p.m.
Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said investigators do not believe the victims were drinking.
The suspect’s vehicle was found abandoned at Fifth Street and Figueroa Street.
Authorities describe the suspect as a 20-s0mething male wearing a baseball cap.
