Gas Line Rupture Forces Closure Of PCH In Malibu
MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Both directions of Pacific Coast Highway in the 2220 block were shut down Thursday due to a gas leak, the California Highway Patrol said.
KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou reports a natural gas line located between Sweetwater Mesa and Carbon Canyon in Malibu was ruptured around 9:36 a.m.
A public works employee ran over a high pressure gas main, according to officials.
Authorities evacuated two homes as a precaution.
PCH was reopened at 11:20 a.m. after the leak was repaired.
