Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Nov. 7)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The marine layer is rolling into the LA Basin this morning with an inversion at 500'.

We should end up with hazy sunshine and a decent day, but temps cooler than yesterday. This is a good indication of the strengthening on-shore flow and change in our weather pattern.

There is a trough and storm system moving into the west coast...however while this system is cold and there are some dynamics associated with it...there just isn't a whole lot of moisture.

We are expecting this trough to move through the region late Thursday and into Friday. It will be characterized by a thickened marine layer Thursday morning with some drizzle, then by the evening and into Friday there is a chance for scattered showers.

It will be cool and windy, but rain totals should be very light...less than .10" in the LA area. Snow levels will be quite low as the system has a cold core to it, so expect the possibility of some light accumulating snow over the Grapevine.

Coast-low 70s
Basin-mid 70s
Valleys-low 80s
Mountains-mid 60s
Deserts-low 80s
