STUDIO CITY (CBS) — She’s been on at least 75 blind dates and on Sunday morning, actress Barbara Heller, appeared on KCAL9 News to talk about some of those experiences and how they inspired her musical endeavor, “Finding Barb.”
“It’s about a girl who is trying to get out of these boxes that people put her in. Her parents. Her teachers. And as she gets older and she gets out of the box, she finds other boxes she can fit herself into,” Heller explains.
“And so she is trying to find this comfortable space between where she came from and where she went and where she wants to go or grow,” she says.
Heller says she started writing the show about four years ago and kept a diary of her dating experiences.
The show is playing at The Working Stage on North Gardner Street in West Hollywood until Jan. 10, 2013.
