BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Saturday said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in Bellflower.

A statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the incident occurred in the 10000 block of Park Street at 12:29 a.m.

The victim, an adult male, was found by authorities with multiple gunshot wounds.

He died while being transported to St. Francis Hospital, a deputy told CBS2.

According to authorities, suspect, identified as a black male adult, fled in a black vehicle.

It was not known if the victim was attending a nearby party or if the shooting was at all gang-related.
