LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Mark McGwire is reportedly set to return to baseball in Southern California to coach the big bats of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The St. Louis Dispatch reports that last year’s Cardinals hitting coach plans to accept an offer from the Dodgers.
McGwire, who attended USC and Damien High School in La Verne, will be close to his home with his family in Irvine if he signs with the blue crew.
Dave Hansen left as the Dodgers hitting coaching in early October to take up the same job in Seattle with the Mariners.
