3 Shot Following Fight In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday were searching for a gunman after three people were shot Wednesday evening following a fight in Hollywood.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard near Whitley Ave, according to authorities.

At least three people — one man and two teenage boys — were shot.

One of the victims, a 17-year-old boy, was critically injured and taken to a local hospital with wounds to his chest and leg.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the foot. A 25-year-old man was shot in the buttocks.

Los Angeles police officers arrived and hundreds of people started running, creating mass chaos.

At least three people were placed in handcuffs, but officials said the suspect is still at-large.

While police searched for the gunman, they emptied out several clubs lining Hollywood Boulevard and Highland, near Cahuenga.

Anyone with information about the shooting or the gunman is asked to contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
